FOXBORO -- The Patriots announced Wednesday they have signed tight end Michael Hoomanawanui and placed tight end Visanthe Shiancoe on injured reserve with a designation to return. In addition, the team signed wide receiver Kerry Taylor and offensive lineman Jeremiah Warren to the practice squad and released fullback Eric Ketttani and wide receiver Sam Kirkland from the practice squad.
